There are various ways that voluntary and community groups can get resources for their work, and this is not always about cash. This section of the Finance Hub site contains information and resources for third sector organisations seeking various forms of non-money support.

Worsbrough Common Community Association

This case study tells the story of how a Community Association in a deprived area set about identifying need and then raising the money. Companygiving.org.uk

The website hosting the Directory of Social Change’ Company Giving guide.

You may be able to access some of these resources free through your local funding advice service or library. If you know which company you want to know more about you can probably find a lot of information free using the internet, the phone book and your local library.

Directory of Social Change on-line catalogue

The Directory of Social Change publishes ‘The Guide to UK Company Giving 6th edition 2007/08’ and a CD-ROM ‘Company Giving Guide 4th edition 2004/05.

RS2 - Charities and Commercial Partners

Charity Commission Guidance on working with commercial organisations. Registered charities need to make sure that any relationship they develop with a Company does not breach the rules for charitable activity. Donations of cash or in kind help are fine but you may need to seek advice if you are developing close ties with a commercial organisation.
