Privacy policy

This website has been developed and is owned and operated by Charities Aid Foundation (registered charity number 268369) of 25 Kings Hill Avenue, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent ME19 4TA ('CAF') in its capacity as accountable organisation of the Finance Hub, a consortium of organisations established as part of the Government's ChangeUp Programme which is managed for the Home Office by Capacity Builders UK Limited (company registration number 5708912).

All references below to "we" and "us" shall be read and construed as references to CAF acting as the co-ordinator of the Finance Hub as explained above.

By using this website, you consent to the collection and use of your information under the terms of this policy as in force at the time of use.

There are two types of information we collect: information that allows us to identify specific individuals and information of a more generalised nature.

Personal information
Whenever we ask you for information that enables us to identify you it will be clear that we are doing so and in every case you will have a choice as to how we use the information that is asked for. Information of this type will only be asked for on those parts of our websites that involve registering for our Finance Hub newsletter.

The answers and information you give in response to the questions in the “Funding Mix” tool on the website are used only to provide you with suggestions of content that may be of interest.

Anonymised user information
This type of information helps us to enhance the website and improve its navigability. In order to facilitate collection of this type of information we use cookies to identify specific information about your visits to the site.

Why we collect personal information from you
Your personal information is collected for the reasons given above. It is also needed so that we can contact you if you have registered for our Finance Hub newsletter.

Apart from using your personal information as noted above we may also use it to notify you occasionally about important changes or developments to the website. Further, where you have consented, we might also use your information to let you know about other products and services which we think may be of interest to you and we may contact you by post, telephone or fax, as well as by e-mail. If you change your mind about being contacted in the future, please contact us.

The personal information you provide to us will be held on computers in the UK and may only be accessed by or given to individuals providing services to CAF in its capacity as accountable organisation of the Finance Hub as explained at the beginning of this privacy policy.

Given the nature of its function as co-ordinator of the Finance Hub, CAF may be required to transfer its ownership of this website, and all related information and data held, including your personal data, to Capacity Builders UK Limited and/or to the Secretary of State for the Home Office or other public official for the time being empowered to act in right of the Crown. Any of those persons, in the exercise of their functions with respect to the Finance Hub and the Government's ChangeUp Programme, may, in turn, transfer ownership of this website, and all related information and data held, to other persons or may appoint one or more other persons to operate and manage this web site and transfer to them, or give them access to, such information and data.

If CAF undergoes any form of restructuring or reorganisation or is amalgamated or merged with another entity or entities, with or without being dissolved, your information may be disclosed to the resulting restructured or reorganised entity or entities or to the successor or other entity or entities with which it has been amalgamated or merged.

Unless required to do so by law or to protect our own interests, we will not otherwise share or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent and we will not sell your personal information without such consent.

We employ security measures to protect your personal information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage.

We will retain your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.

You are entitled to see the information held about you and you may ask us to make any changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date.

If you would like your details to be deleted from our systems please contact us.
