New National Support Service - Income Generation

The income generation workstream is one of the new National Support Services which superseded the national Hubs in April. It aims to stimulate a culture change in the support offered to the sector, so that frontline organisations understand the full range of ways of generating income and can make the best use of them in order to have a diverse spectrum of funding.

The income generation workstream aims to help frontline organisations in the third sector be more sustainable and independent. It will do this by bringing together leading expertise to connect and develop support providers in the sector, to achieve a step-change in the help they give to the frontline.

Aims

Overall our aim is to stimulate a culture change in the support offered to the sector, so that frontline organisations understand the full range of ways of generating income and can make the best use of them in order to have a diverse spectrum of funding.

What problems do we want to solve?

Partners across the workstream have identified needs that we intend to address, including:

improving social enterprise support

improving support available to frontline organisations in trading, procurement, assets and fundraising

targeted support for black and minority and ethnic (BME) organisations
