Local schools and youth groups can be a mine of committed and energetic volunteers. They could organise an event to support your organisation, which also helps to raise awareness of your cause and may help to recruit future supporters.
Local businesses often get involved with fundraising events. Similarly, local groups and associations, such as Rotary Clubs, are often willing to fundraise for local or national causes. Often these groups have an idea of how they might wish to fundraise, and your role would be to ensure that the proposed activity would not damage the reputation of your organisation.
When working with clubs and associations, you need to be clear about the level of support that your organisation can give. Permission must also be obtained beforehand when young people are involved, whether that is from the school or from parents. And, of course, all activities must be safe and legal.
