INTRODUCTORY OVERVIEW

What support is out there?

Identify what support is on offer from bodies, such as local development agencies, the Finance Hub or NCVO. Local agencies may be able to provide some hands on support – others can offer checklists and models that can be adapted to your organisation. Role models can be useful to provide inspiration, as well as inform the strategy and it’s worth identifying any voluntary or community organisations out there that have more experience than you – as you may find potential partners that you can join forces with to achieve your aims.

Smaller charities risk becoming increasingly unsustainable in the face of growing competition from big name charities and global appeals
